What a beautiful few days.
We welcomed 16 women from the Midlands to the stunning Timber House, generously donated by the wonderful team at The Florist Amy Chim, for a chance to reset, restore and relax in a safe, welcoming space.
The retreat opened with a welcoming circle, bringing everyone together before the journey began.
Day One opened with a restorative practice and journaling session, easing everyone into the retreat mindset. After a delicious lunch, we headed out on a walk to ancient wildflower meadows, spotting wild orchids along the way.
Back at the house, we got creative in a flower workshop, followed by a beautiful breathwork and sound bath session. The afternoon was rounded off with a gorgeous poem reading, before the day closed with a confidence and styling workshop.
Day Two: Movement and Reflection
We began Day Two with a group grounding and empowering movement session, setting an energising tone for the day. One-to-one sessions were held during free time, giving our ladies personal space and support, followed by another delicious lunch.
We returned to the flower workshop for more creativity, then enjoyed a second breathwork and sound bath session. A further confidence and styling workshop followed, before we closed the retreat with a peaceful labyrinth walk and closing circle.
Throughout it all, our brilliant co-founder Kath, a nutritionist and naturopath, kept everyone nourished with delicious, healthy food. Maria our co-founder held a safe space for the women right from the start through the lead-up and on the day itself. Becki designed the whole programme around free and low-cost tools, woven into every session, so the women could keep using them long after the retreat ended.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated their time to We Free Women, we couldn't do this without you. The feedback from our ladies has been incredible.
