Friends and supporters of We Free Women gathered together in 20 Berkeley on 12 November to celebrate our movement and raise much-needed funds of over £23,000 to support our plans for 2024 retreats.
Thanks to the generosity of our host venue, Mayfair’s 20 Berkeley, we were able to bring together our volunteers, donors and supporters to share stories from our first 6 months of retreats, and raise funds to deliver even more retreats in 2024.
Guests were treated to a surprise performance from West End star Anna Jane Casey; a live Q&A with Tamzin Outhwaite and Kate Thornton, a silent auction hosted by Jenny Powell and Andy Goldstein and a live auction hosted by Charlie at Bonham’s, plus a dazzling disco set from DJs Denise Van Outen and Jemma Bolt.
Due to the generosity of brilliant brands, our guests, including Gaby Logan, Leigh Francis, Vanessa Feltz and Arlene Phillips, enjoyed Classic Reserve NV
Tamzin Outhwaite added ‘We cannot pour from an empty cup, and yet so many women with complex and challenging circumstances, who spend their lives caring for others, are at breaking point. The funds raised at our event will allow us to send so many women through our retreat programme in 2024. I’m overjoyed and full of gratitude - this would not have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors and of our guests and donors’.
